Makes you think..

On my iGoogle page I have a window thats called "Things to Ponder". Usually I have a reasonable resolution for them but this one got me...

"If it is zero degrees outside today and it is supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be?"

Hmm...any suggestions?

0 degrees fahrenheit = -17.77777777777778 degrees celsius
so 2 x as cold would be -35.554 degrees celsius convert that back to fahrenheit would be -31.997

I would probably do it the opposite...like take the 0 degrees as being Celsius..which would be 32 degrees fahrenheit. Split that in half (flip and multiply for the 2x) and you get 16 degrees Fahrenheit!
