The Library

My mom and i went to the EP Foster library yesterday because we are super into reading lately. We both checked out the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and i read it all already. You should read it. It was good.

But about the library, the whole concept amazes me. You can just go in with an ID and get your card (for free), check out as many books as you like (for free), and keep them for three weeks. Not until you dont return them on time do you have to pay anything. However, only if your fine is over 5.00 do you have to pay before checking out more books. First of all, those librarians cant make very much money, and second of all, how do they buy the books? AAAND, as if it couldnt be any more generous and convenient, they will bring books over from other libraries in the county for you if its not at the location you visit. What a great gift to the public the library is! If i ever stumble upon large amounts of money, i think my charity of choice would be libraries. I wonder if someday they wont be able to offer these services for free anymore.

I'm glad we got the same book to read even if you read faster then me. Its fun to talk about what you have read with someone. Especially you since we are so similar in our opinions :)
Its a fun summer read and I have wanted to read this series for a while. Its especially good because its summer and the book takes place in the summer.
It was fun to go to the library and get library cards and look at all the downtown freaks that hang out in the library. I don't think I would want you going there alone. How's that for a vote of confidence in our city!?!

haha when i went to request the 2nd one there were more freaks. it was pretty funny, luckily we stayed in the childrens section a little more so there were less, but there was this lady playing with a bear that sung "all i want for christmas" hahaha, the librarian man seemed really annoyed by her.

It's called taxes Morgan! That's how the libraries work. :) I'm sure you're already making contributions. Check out the Provo library when you get back! It's amazing.

I love this series I read the first three a while ago. I haven't read the fourth one yet! I'll have to get it...
